InnovationInspiration: 8500 Startups vs Skype →
nicolaerusan:
The recent Microsoft purchase of Skype for 8.5 billion dollars left a lot of people unhappy, and calling for Ballmer’s resignation as CEO. So, what could Microsoft have done instead of buying Skype? Well, what would happen if Microsoft invested 1 million dollars in 8500 startups, and gave them…

On Abortion...
Abortion… big issue today in this nation.
Some solutions about the issue of abortion (not on all the politics being used to pass or not a federal budget):
Raped Women and Crack heads should be allowed to abort if they don’t want the kids. Young girls going to the abortion clinic a second time for being irresponsible should be snipped or punished in some form. To those that support...

Bitbucket or Github?
This week we have to make a final choice of what technology will be used to replace our somewhat big subversion repository (2 Gigs). Huge imports are beginning to be a pain and we’re tired of the .svn folders and not being able to commit if the central server is down. As time passed we become more paranoid and started making automated backups of the repo using good old rsync, so we’ve...

Confession: I cheat on my MacBook
It’s insane the amount of time a person like me spends with his/her computer.
Come to think about it, it’s a very intimate relationship that you have with these machines, you do so many things with it, you read, you write, you watch movies, tv, you play games, music, you create together… I even start to miss my computer when I’ve been away from it for too long. I realized...
Android Story: Walking and Kindle Reading
I love running and I love reading.
I got into running more seriously last year, I got addicted to it while training for half marathons and the Ing Miami Marathon. As a result, I think I over did it, and now every time I try to run past 6 miles I get a very discomforting pain on my right knee.
I got into reading when I lived in NYC, my favorite place to read was the NY subway, I would often miss...

Random Thoughs on Pandora for Android - Makes the...
I mostly use Pandora for Android when I’m on my car. If most users are doing the same Pandora is making driving safer for everyone around Pandora drivers.
Why?
Because they must hate it when someone calls on the phone and interrupts the music experience.
I think if you have music coming from your phone, you’re less likely to be talking and driving.

On "Inception" and Programming
After watching Inception I think I have an easy way to explain what complex object oriented programming can be like.
Next time someone asks I’ll say something along these lines:
“Did you watch that movie “Inception”? Programming is like that, but now imagine that instead of dreaming in 4 levels (dreams inside dreams) you could be dreaming in about 12 levels down, but...

it’s so weird to see the Oracle logo when OpenOffice is launching
Enough of the internet’s technological regression that forgets the power of our machines to put it all on the cloud. We should be the cloud.
Enough of the social hype bullshit and exponentially adopted “services” (like twitter) that are good for nothing but their owners.
what do you get out of Foursquare? I’ve found it addictive but as a user I’ve gotten nothing except a $1 off a Frappuccino (I like Lattes)
